December 2013 Commencement
Commencement is Saturday, December 14, 2013
The senior breakfast begins at 8:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 13 in the Student Recreation Center, followed by the commencement rehearsal at 10 a.m. in Kimmel Arena.
Commencement takes place Saturday, Dec. 14, with graduates asked to line up on the indoor track at the Student Recreation Center at 9 a.m. The ceremony begins at 10 a.m.
Mary Lynn Manns, professor of management and recipient of the 2013 Alumni Distinguished Faculty Award and the University Service Award, will deliver the commencement address.

Asheville Transit Services
Asheville Transit provides bus service throughout the City of Asheville and other local areas, including the UNC Asheville campus.
The Asheville Transit Center is located downtown at 49 Coxe Avenue next to the U.S. Post Office. The Transit Center provides clean restrooms, indoor and outdoor seating, and an on-duty information assistant.
UNC Asheville students, faculty, and staff have unlimited and free access to all Asheville Transit routes ONLY with a valid OneCard with a “Passport 12/13” sticker. Stickers are available from:
- University Police, located in Vance Hall
- Parking and Transportation Services, located in S210 Millar Facilities Complex
All buses also transport at least two bicycles.
